Organizations try to solve and address cloud challenges derived from the digital transformation, creating a high demand for expertise in handling and managing the vast amount of cloud data as well as the data architecture and DevOps. The need and the trends in the market for these professionals have been clearly reflected in recent literature and also shown in our Denodo Global Cloud Survey 2021 where 50% of our participants expressed a demand for data and cloud architect roles.

Denodo is inviting Data Aspirants to have a grip on the concepts and tools, boosting knowledge and skills via a hands-on experience with the industry leading data virtualization software from Denodo on the cloud.

During this 3-hour virtual hands-on lab, you will be able to learn where you are at with your current skill set, and be able to understand the concept and benefits of data virtualization through experiencing the platform’s data virtualization capabilities first-hand.

What you will learn?

We will begin with a brief introduction to data virtualization, which will include concepts of data access, integration and delivery, obtaining data on-demand, data services as well as data governance and security.

During the hands-on session, you will explore these capabilities by:

• Launching an instance of the Denodo 8.0 Platform on AWS
• Connecting to several data sources in: MySQL and Amazon Redshift
• Defining a logical data model on top of these sources to integrate the data to satisfy a reporting scenario
• Reviewing query optimization
• Assigning security privileges to different users
• Using the business focused web based Catalog provided to explore what you have created

After the completion of the session, you will receive a Participation Certificate which you could add to your resume.
