Denodo Platform helps customers to build a logical layer on top of their data sources. The logical layer only stores metadata such as primary keys, data types, statistics, etc.

Data sources often have strong processing capabilities so the virtual layer’s job is to carefully orchestrate execution of source systems in an optimal way, maximizing processing push down and minimizing data transfer through the network.
